DEI Content:

This course covers three areas of DEI content as outlined by ASHA including: communication differences, communication disorders within communication differences, inclusive practices, understanding the potential impact of cultural differences on service delivery.

Speaker Bio

Martha Horrocks, MEd CCC-SLP, is a Maine-based speech-language pathologist and former elementary school teacher. Martha's approach is affirming and child-led, focused on empowering each child to communicate authentically. As the creator of @martha_speech, Martha shares practical resources and strategies for working with and supporting school-age kids who stutter. Her ultimate goal is to educate and inspire, providing a nurturing space for both professionals and families to learn and grow in their understanding of stuttering.
